Facilities

Ample car parks surround the racecourse, both stands give an excellent view of the racetrack as does the lawn in front of the stands. All parts of the track are clearly visible from these vantage points. The stand nearest the stiles has a very comfortable bar upstairs, where food is served and a tote outlet adds to the enjoyment. Adjacent to the parade ring are all the facilities required. The draught bar is very popular especially as the hot beef roll counter is close by! Further on is the self service restaurant where the caterers
"P & R catering" serve first class fare. Next is a small tea room, followed by the "Thurles Racecourse Supporters Club" rooms. All these rooms have closed circuit t.v. service showing, not only the local racing but also all coverage carried on the S.I.S. service.

The S.P. shop run by Hackett Bookmakers is located between the parade ring and the racetrack. The bookmakers ring and the main tote building are located between the parade ring and the main stand. The bookmakers ring at Thurles Racecourse was the first in Ireland to have a "mushroom t.v.stand" in the centre of the ring, giving the service supplied by S.I.S.
