Fixtures Our racing season is different to most other Irish racecourses, in that our season straddles two calendar years. Generally, Thurles race from late October to late March, with 11 fixtures in that period. Our present seasons list 09 / 10  is as follows. October - Thurs 22nd, 1st race at 2.15, 3 Chases, 4 Hurdles featuring the Vendee Hurdle of €16,500. November - Thurs 5th, 1st race at 12.55, 3 Chases, 3 Hurdles and 1 Bumper, featuring the Thurles Chase of €26,000 Listed. November - Thurs 19th, 1st race at 12.45. 2 Steeplechases,    4 Hurdles and 1 Bumper November - Thurs 26th,  1st race at 12.45.  3 steeplechases,     4 Hurdle races. December - Sunday 20th,  1st race 12.40.  2 steeplechases 4 Hurdle races and 1 Bumper.  Feature race is the €28,500. Listed Horse & Jockey Hotel Hurdle.
